rEBECCA gRUBER ARPN

Nurse Practitioner

White Bear Lake & Cambridge (Virtual)

  • Becky believes that every individual's mental health is unique. No two patients' lives, experiences, or trauma are exactly the same. Those differences or lived experiences affect how we interpret and process so many things in our lives. Addressing your mental health does not mean you are "mentally ill"; it means you are giving yourself the best form of self-care and love.

Becky's goal as a mental health nurse practitioner is to get to know her patients through their lived experiences so that she can help them in ways that are unique and individualized to their needs, and together build a treatment plan that allows them to feel like the best version of themselves, with tools that are individually tailored for them

Becky has been a nurse practitioner for 13 years, working in both family practice and mental health. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she spent almost 20 years in a nursing career (RN) that led her in many different directions.  Her diverse background enhances her ability to see everyone's situation as unique.  Those past experiences include working in long-term care, home care, hospice, acute care, and public health.  She also spent 10 years teaching nursing at the local technical college where she received her associate RN degree. Her passion for mental health started in her childhood when she told everyone she wanted to be a psychiatrist. Caring for others, listening to them, and understanding them has been a gift that has carried with her since childhood.

Becky obtained her associate R.N. from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, WI, her BSN from the University of Phoenix, and her MSN through Concordia University in Mequon, WI.   She has also pursued further education through Chamberlain College in mental health.  She is comfortable treating most mental health conditions,  including addiction issues, PTSD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and Bipolar Disorder, personality disorders and has some experience in treating psychosis. She is LGBTQ+ affirming. She will see all ages from 7 on up.

In her free time, she enjoys reading and learning new things,  she enjoys all kinds of animals, having dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, and horses of her own.  She also enjoys spending time doing anything outdoors and traveling with her husband and 6 children.  She had a son pass away in 2021 at age 20 from a fentanyl overdose which cements her passion for helping others struggling with addiction, and mental health issues which often times can be a big contributing factor to substance use that leads to addiction.
