KELSEY UTILIZES A PERSON-CENTERED, EMOTION-FOCUSED APPROACH TO THERAPY THAT BRINGS THE ABILITY TO BEAR PAST AND PRESENT RELATIONSHIPS, CURRENT PROBLEMS, AND FUTURE POSSIBILITIES.
Kelsey McLaughlin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in the treatment of cancer survivors, religious trauma, family dynamics, and couples. Kelsey operates from a compassionate lens and has clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families with a variety of mental health concerns. She has worked in school-based mental health programs, community-based programs, and outpatient settings.
Kelsey is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space in therapy that highlights the overlooked strengths and resources that are present in each person.
Her focus on mindfulness, self-compassion, and building systems of support helps clients make meaningful change and lasting progress. Her work with clients is grounded in empathy while also providing specific coping skills and education that empowers. It is her sincere belief that when working collaboratively with clients, vitality can grow in places that once felt hopeless, and therapy becomes a place where resiliency blooms.
Kelsey holds a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Youth and Family Studies from Northwestern College.
